wow, what a week!

Long time no post!

The past week has been the craziest week of my life. Last tuesday I took off to Utah, and arrived Tuesday night. Me and my mom drove up with Mike, Perry and Bentley. Moka and Mak were stuck trying to get home from New York. We ended up picking them up in Las Vegas on the way up. We stopped in lunch in St. George with Mike and Moka at Pizza Factory! yuumm. I got grouchy on the way home, I just wanted to be in Alpine already. So after about 15 hours on the road, we made it!

Then we had Christmas, which was really fun. It was just me, megan, dad, mom, and grandma and grandpa hartshorn. I got a good load, which is always good :)

Last Friday my family (me, megan, mom, dad, mike, moka, and bentley) headed up to Snowbird for the weekend. I wish I had pictures, but they're on my dad's camera and I can't get them on my laptop. I finally learned how to REALLY snowboard. Mike's a good teacher.

We got back today and I moved into my apartment. I'm now a resident of Orem. I live down the street from grandma and grandpa allen, which is always fun! I'll have to admit I was pretty stressed out tonight. I hate having boxes around and not knowing what to do with them! AHH.
Well I have a week until school starts so I have plenty of time to get settled in.

I'm off to just sit down and look at my mess. Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

YES!

Sunday I had my work christmas party. It was Las Vegas themed and it was on Balboa Island. A guy from work got a limo and invited my date and I to join. That was a huge plus! My first time in a limo (haha). It was a blast, and I had one of the best nights of my life! My work knows how to party! Here's a couple pictures. Brittany is one of my best friends from work. Natalie is the new girl at work and we got really close in the couple of weeks we worked together. Don't mind my white-ness, I was pretty sick.

Okay, I know I shouldn't be this excited, but I am.
Now I'm just trying to find a job in Utah. I think I've filled out 20+ applications and sent sooo many resumes.
I guess I'll get a job, if I'm meant to have one. I won't be too sad if I don't find one.

Okay, my mom is here. I love her.
Today we braved Disneyland through wind, rain, and cold. Seriously, I don't get too cold, but dang it was freezing. Here's a picture of us leaving...

It was just me, my mom, and Perry. I think he felt like a king for a day since it was just him with us. I had a blast, and I loved being able to walk onto Space Mountain. The wait lines around the park said 2 minutes. I giggled whenever I saw it.

Well I'm packing up right now and ready to move my butt to Utah.

One Week!

Until my mom is here.
And I'm done with my job. (which i love a lot, and am going to miss)

I'm starting to get all nostalgic. I'm excited to go back to Utah, and I'm sad to be leaving California. I love it here, but I guess I just don't love it enough..call me crazy! I guess I'm just a Utah girl. I always seem to go back!

I can't wait for my mom to come, she always cooks the best food, and she cuddles me at night. I know..lame, right? But seriously, who doesn't love cuddling with their mom? I know you're never too old for it! I was thinking at Thanksgiving, "This is my first home cooked meal since the end of September when my mom visited California." I just don't have that cooking gene in me anywhere!

I wish my room would pack itself. I'm sick of moving. I've packed twice, but this past summer I lived at my grandma's house, and my parent's house. I lived out of a suitcase for over a month. I hope I actually stay at my apartment for longer than 6 months. Maybe I'll just keep everything in boxes, because whenever I get settled I have to leave again. I can't stay in one place too long.

I can't wait to start school! I have been looking forward to it since October. I think it makes me sound smarter when I tell people I'm going to start college in January. I feel like I'm really starting to accomplish my goals. (except that blasted weight loss one...it's never going away.)

Disneyland!

So yesterday I realized I was off work by 5, so I called my friend Christa to go shopping. She said she was heading to Disneyland and invited me! I have been itching to go for like a month now, and I have a season pass, so I went! I've never gone during the "Christmas" time. The castle was really cool, but also really over done.

See, just a tad bit over done. Anyways, it was REALLY fun. I loved all the Christmas decorations, I'm a sucker for Christmas, and I blame my mom for that since she's just a Christmas fan! I especially loved the tree! I felt like a tourist taking pictures. bahahha.
I think one of the highlights was taking pictures in front of the sword. Christa, me, and Dawn were totally hamming it up.

I seriously am boring!

The reason I never, ever blog is because my life really isn't that exciting, and my blog is ugly.
I refuse to blog on an ugly blog, but I have no idea how to make it pretty.

All I've been doing since my last post is working, going to the gym (i love my new membership!) and sleeping. Somehow I manage to keep up to date on all of my tv shows!

My mom just left from visiting, and I was really sad. The whole family came for Mike and Moka's sealing, and my mom stayed to babysit for a week! It was really fun to have my mom again, plus she always cooked for me!! :)
I miss her a lot, and I can't wait to see her in November!

In two weeks I head to Utah to see a BYU game with my papa. He just has to get his BYU fix!! Maybe then my life will be exciting!

My Birthday Cake?

I turned 18 on Tuesday! It was a really fun birthday. Abby was here from Canada, so she came and celebrated my birthday with me in Laguna! It was my favorite birthday so far. We went and ate a place called The Beach House. It was super delicious, and I ate lobster and crab cakes. Mmmmm.

I didn't have a party or anything, but oh well. Abby made my birthday amazing!

Earthquake!!!

I'm sure many of you have heard about the earthquake in Southern California. It was a 5.8 or 5.4 (different numbers from different sources). It was the biggest one in a decade, and as luck should have it I was in it!! haha.

Me, Moka and Bentley were in a hair salon when it happened. I didn't know what to think of it! I thought it was a construction truck going by first or something, but then I quickly realized what was going on!!! I grabbed Bentley and we all ran out of the salon. She was so cute the entire time, I swear she thought it was supposed to happen! She was just playing with her feet and smiling the whole time.

I hope it's the last earthquake I ever feel!!!
(and yes, everything is fine...except for Mike's Dwight bobblehead.)

Dude! I'm in California!

I made the move to Cali. It was the best decision ever!

I got here a week ago, and I finally got my bed yesterday. My room is all put together, thanks to my mad putting-together-ikea-furniture skills. I didn't think that it would be that much fun to put together wood.

I'm loving my view of the ocean. It's so peaceful in the morning when I can just wake up, and go out on my balcony and feel the ocean air, and see the ocean. All I need to do is drink coffee and I would be a commercial.

I'm (hopefully) getting my car tomorrow. It's a 2007 Chevy Cobalt, and it's white. I'm so in love with it, and I can't wait to finally have it! Stupid paperwork, right?

I also love my new job! I work with really fun people, they're all ages 18-25, so everyone is pretty young. It's totally the stereotypical sales office, with people throwing things at each other from their cubicles, and wearing funny headbands, and playing jokes on each other. It's just a fun environment to be in. I can't wait til I can meet everyone.

I really love my living with Mike and Moka. They are the coolest kids, and they have the prettiest baby. I love babysitting her. I love Mak and Perry too, but I haven't seen them yet since they're with their dad in Utah.Here is my favorite baby ever! Isn't she the cutest?

So basically life couldn't be better right now :)

Okay, so I've slacked off, and now I have to fill you in on the past month of my life.
I moved up to Calgary for a month, and I've just been hanging out.
I dated a little, then decided to stop. Dating's stupid right now anyways.
I went to girl's camp, and I went to my neighbor's cabin in Montana too.
Emily and Hank were up here for a couple days to find an apartment, and we all went to the Calgary Stampede.
I'm too tired/lazy to post lots of pictures.
Anyways, I move to Laguna Beach in 10 days...but who's counting?

It's true! I graduated! I'm now living at my grandparents house, and I'm moving to Canada on Saturday. Then in July I'm moving to California! I'm so excited that I'm done. Now I never have to go back! YAYAYAYAYAAA! My parents and Megan drove to Utah for my graduation, and Mike surprised me and showed up Tuesday morning before the ceremony! He was only able to stay for the day, but I'm really happy that he came. I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life!!

St. George Trip

So I haven't posted in almost a month. Sorry. School has been pretty hectic. I can't believe I only have one month left! I'm really, really excited to just be done! My graduation is June 3rd. I seriously can't wait.

So right now I'm in the process of getting an apartment. It's hard work. My friend is moving out of her in-laws house and into her own house with her husband, and I'm going to rent her basement. I think it'll work out.

So 2 weeks ago me and Justin went down to St. George to see baby Bentley. She was such a cutie! It was nice to just hang out in the warm weather, and be with my brother and his family. I miss St. George. I haven't gone in like 5 years, so it was way awesome to go. The shopping wasn't bad at all!!! haha.
